Last updated: 4 October 2026. These terms cover The Quiet Journal Online Planner membership at thequietjournal.co.uk.
Your membership
The Quiet Journal provides an interactive online journal and planner for personal use. Membership gives access through your signed-in account. It does not supply a downloadable PDF, and physical journals are sold separately.
Price and recurring payments
Membership costs £6.99 per month. The first payment is collected at sign-up, followed by an automatic payment every month until you cancel. There is no trial, sign-up fee or fixed minimum term. The amount and billing interval are displayed before checkout. Stripe processes card payments; we do not store full card numbers or security codes.
Account and access
Keep your login private and provide accurate account details. Access requires an active paid membership. Payment failures, overdue renewals, cancellation or expiry may close the planner. If a payment fails, contact us or follow the payment update instructions in My account.
Cancellation
You can cancel in My account → Subscriptions → Manage → Cancel. Cancellation stops future subscription charges and ends access to the planner immediately. Stored journal entries are deleted after 90 days without an active membership, on the next daily cleanup; you can request earlier deletion. Before cancelling, save a private copy of anything you wish to keep, or ask us for an export. If you cannot access your account, email contact@thequietjournal.co.uk for help.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights, including applicable cancellation rights when buying online or rights where a service is faulty or not as described. Contact us promptly if you wish to exercise a cancellation right or request a refund; include your order number and the email used at checkout. Please do not send journal content or card details. Stopping future renewals and requesting a refund are separate actions.
Using your planner
Fields are optional. Save entries explicitly and wait for the saved confirmation before leaving the page. Unsaved words may be lost if you reload, close the page or lose your session. The app requires an internet connection and a current browser with JavaScript enabled. Use the Planner Guide for help.
The journal is a tool for personal reflection. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency support. Use professional advice for health decisions.
Private entries and consent
The Privacy Policy explains how account information, payments and journal entries are processed. The planner asks for separate explicit consent before you store personal health or wellbeing information in your entries. You may withdraw journal consent from the planner after confirming permanent deletion of its entries from active storage. Request a copy before doing so. Withdrawing journal consent does not cancel your subscription: cancel in My account to stop future billing.
Service availability and changes
We may need to maintain the service or correct problems. If an issue prevents you using a paid membership, contact us so we can investigate and provide any remedy required by your consumer rights. We will tell affected members before changing their subscription price; you can cancel before a changed price takes effect.
